How does MeetDrop decide which leads are worth chasing?

The answer, first

You describe your ideal client once — the industries, sizes, roles and problems you actually win — and every captured lead is scored against that description. A show that produced a hundred leads then arrives in an order rather than as a pile. Once you have marked enough won deals, the scoring also learns from the ones that closed. Pro and Team only.

Why a score and not just a list

Two hundred leads sorted by the time they were captured is the same as two hundred leads sorted at random. The reason follow-up quality drops on day three is that nobody knows which of the remaining names matter.

A score does not decide anything for you. It decides what you read first, which is the whole of the problem when the flight home is four hours long.

What it reads

  • Your description of who you want — written in your words, not picked from a menu.
  • What the person told you at the booth, which a badge scan never carries.
  • Their role and company, from the card or the conversation.
  • Your own closed deals, once there are enough of them to learn anything honest from.

What it deliberately does not do

It does not silently drop anyone. Every lead is still there, still exportable, still contactable — a low score changes the order, never the list.

And it does not pretend to know more than it does. On a new account with no won deals behind it, the score is your own description applied consistently, which is useful but is not magic.

Scoring is on Pro and Team. Start free to see the capture and the writing first — that is what everything else sits on.
