What happens when I meet the same person twice at a show?

The answer, first

They stay one lead and get one email. MeetDrop matches them by email address and tells you before you save that you have met them before. Today's conversation joins their history. If the first email has not gone yet, it is rewritten to cover both conversations; if it already went, nothing is sent again. If they have already replied, you choose: start a new sequence, or don't email.

It tells you before you save

Capture them the way you always do: the card, then a voice note. If the email address on the card belongs to someone you have already captured, MeetDrop says so before you save, so you are never surprised later by two records for one person.

What happens to the email

1
The first email has not gone yet. It is rewritten to cover both conversations, so they get one message that remembers day one and day two.
2
The first email already went. Nothing is sent again. Today's notes go on their record for the next follow-up.
3
They have already replied. You are asked: start a new sequence, or don't email. Restarting a conversation that is already going is your call, not the app's.

Why it matches on the email address

Names repeat and get misheard; a company has many people at one show. The email address is the one thing that is the same person every time, so that is what decides whether two captures are one lead.

The same rules apply when you drop in a list after the show: someone already on your leads from that show is merged, not added twice. Importing a list after a show.
