Sort before you send. Most of what comes home from a show is not a lead: competitors, students, people who took a pen. Split the pile. The people who asked for something specific get a first email within 24 hours that names it, under 120 words, asking for one small next step. The rest get one polite note, or nothing. And whatever holds the list, make sure you can export it.
Most of the bag is not a lead
The bag comes home and the bag gets imported, all of it, into the same sequence. Some of it is competitors walking the floor. Some of it is students. A lot of it is people who stopped for a pen.
Mail all of it the same way and the response rate is poor, and the conclusion people draw is that trade shows do not work. What did not work was treating a pen-taker like a buyer.
Split it into two piles
The split is not by title or company size. It is by what they said.
Make sure the list is yours
Whatever you use to hold the leads, check that you can get them out of it. A lead list you cannot export is not yours.
In MeetDrop, CSV export is on every plan including the free one, and Salesforce and HubSpot sync are live on Pro, into your own Salesforce org or HubSpot account.
Unlimited leads free, no card. Capture what each person asked for, so the sorting is already done.
