Monday, January 11 — it starts and does not stop

Tuesday, January 12 — the tracks run in parallel

What exactly is MeetDrop, and why use it at a partnering conference?

Not in the trade-show sense. The event is built around presentations and one-on-one partnering meetings rather than a hall of stands, which is why there is no lead-retrieval hardware to rent and no badge to scan. Whatever you leave with is what somebody wrote down.

What are the Seed Showcase, TechBio and DigiMed tracks?

Dedicated sub-tracks within the event: Seed Showcase for early-stage companies, TechBio Showcase, and DigiMed for medtech, device and digital medicine. If you are working more than one track, you are meeting quite different people in the same three days — which is exactly when a note naming what each one cared about earns its keep.

By the following week JPM week has become one blur for everyone who was there.

Can attendees use MeetDrop at Biotech Showcase, or only presenting companies?

Both, and here the attendee side is the stronger case. An investor or BD lead running back-to-back partnering meetings has no booth and no scanner — just a phone. Presenting companies run their whole partnering team into one shared list with dedupe. Ten free spots on each side.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your phone's browser, which is the only device you have between two meetings in a hotel corridor. Sign in with Google or an emailed code, set Biotech Showcase as your event, and the capture screen is ready. There is an iOS app if you prefer one.
