The weekend before — the programme starts early

2027 adds Commerce Media Saturday, Supply Chain Sunday and AI Monday around the main show. The people you meet in those rooms are the same people you want on the floor, and nothing on a badge scanner reaches a session corridor.

Sunday, January 10 — the floor opens

More than a thousand exhibitors and a hall that fills immediately. Every conversation is sharp and every card gets a note on the back. By lunch there are thirty cards and the notes have stopped.

Monday, January 11 — the day the booth earns its money

Retail IT, operations and merchandising doing their real rounds, comparing you against the four stands nearest you. A third of them have flown in from another country and will be gone by Wednesday.

Tuesday, January 12 — it closes

Breakdown, a taxi, a flight. The follow-up is now a task for the week you are back — the week every other vendor they met is also emailing them.

Questions people ask before NRF

What exactly is MeetDrop, and why use it at NRF?

A lead capture app for people who meet prospects in person. You photograph a buyer's card and say one sentence about what they asked for; MeetDrop pulls out the name, company and the ask, writes the follow-up in your voice, and sends it when you press Send. At a show where a third of the floor flies home to another country on the Tuesday, the email that goes out the same afternoon is a different email from the one that goes out next week.

When and where is NRF 2027?

How big is NRF?

Can I get the NRF exhibitor list?

Yes — NRF publishes an alphabetical exhibitor directory with booth numbers, and exhibitors publish their own assignments in advance (Manhattan Associates, for instance, lists Booth #5438 for the January 10–12 show). That is the list of who is selling. It is not a list of who walked up to your stand and asked a question, which is the one that is worth money to you and the one only you can build.

What does MeetDrop cost?

Free to start: unlimited leads, with 10 AI follow-up emails a month written and sent for you. An Event Pass is $49 for one show: 200 AI follow-up emails, for 30 days from the first one, with replies coming back to your own address. Pro is $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, for unlimited AI follow-ups, sending from your own domain, lead scoring and CRM sync. Team is $199 with three seats, which is the one to look at if you are running a stand with a crew. Ten Pro and ten Team plans are free for NRF through January 31.

Does NRF have an official badge scanner for exhibitors?

Exhibitors can order lead retrieval through the NRF exhibitor portal, and it reads what is printed on the badge. It does not record that this buyer runs 400 stores, is replacing their POS in Q3, and wants a reference in grocery. MeetDrop captures that beside the scan and can import the scanner's export after the show, so you end with one list rather than two.

How soon should I follow up after NRF?

The same day, from the show. Most trade show leads never get a meaningful follow-up, and exhibitors who wait more than a week see reply rates fall sharply against those who reach out within two days. With a third of NRF's floor international, waiting a week means landing after they have flown home and the show has blurred.

Can attendees use MeetDrop at NRF, or only exhibitors?

Both. Retailers walking the floor capture the vendors they want to talk to again — useful at a show with a thousand of them — and exhibitors run the whole stand into one shared list with dedupe. The free-for-NRF offer has ten spots for each side of the aisle.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your phone's browser, which matters on a Javits stand where six people are capturing at once and nobody has a laptop free. Sign in with Google or an emailed code, set NRF as your event, and the capture screen is ready. There is an iOS app if you prefer one.
